Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and salt.
- Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and gently massage the marinade into the chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Optional: Sprinkle the chicken with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
- Serve the honey soy glazed chicken with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete and delicious meal.
About Sperry Honey
We really hope you enjoyed this recipe. This might be a long shot, but if you're ever in need of some premium honey for your recipes, you can always order some of our honey here. Many people don't know this, but there's a solid chance that the imported honey on your grocery store shelves contains high fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners. Honey producers do this to cut costs, which is gross, unhealthy, and disgusting. Our honey? Every bottle is made right here at our small apiary in North Dakota, and it's all 100% real farm honey. Appreciate you reading, and have a wonderful day :)
