The Sperry Honey Team • November 20, 2024

Here's an easy honey garlic chicken recipe that you can make at home! Serves 4, and pairs well with steamed broccoli, cooked rice, and/or mashed potatoes.

  • Ingredients

    • 1 pound (about 2-3) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • 1/4 cup cornstarch
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander (optional)
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil (2 tablespoons for the chicken, 1 tablespoon for the sauce)
    • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Directions

    • In a bowl, coat the chicken breasts with the cornstarch, salt, ground coriander (optional), ground ginger, paprika, and black pepper.
    • Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and rub it into the chicken until evenly coated.
    • Place the seasoned chicken on an oven-safe tray.
    • Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
    • While the chicken bakes, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook until soft and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
    • Stir in the honey and soy sauce, then simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
    • Once the chicken is done, coat it thoroughly in the honey garlic sauce.
    • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

The Sperry family has been beekeeping since the 1920's. Based in North Dakota, we sell 100% pure honey, unlike a lot of the stuff you'll find in the grocery store. Our honey won't crystallize, and has a bold, natural sweetness that won't overpower your meal. We're biased, but we think it's the perfect pantry companion :)
